The origin
Every movement begins with a story, ours begins with Ralph Rosa. A
brother, a leader, and a visionary, Ralph’s unwavering dedication to
multiple sclerosis research continues to shape the heart of Runway 7,
even after his passing. His commitment to advancing science was not
only a personal mission but a source of inspiration that redefined what
fashion could stand for.
Ralph believed that research held the power to unlock hope, and that the
breakthroughs in one field could spark progress in another. His passion
for supporting multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s research reminded us
that the pursuit of cures is interconnected, much like fashion, where
every thread contributes to a greater whole.
It was his legacy that gave birth to Project Lab Coat. Conceived as a
bridge between art and science, it reimagines the white lab coat not
simply as a uniform, but as a powerful symbol of innovation, resilience,
and the relentless fight against disease. What began with Ralph’s vision
has become Runway 7’s mission: to use the runway as a platform that
goes beyond beauty, raising awareness, amplifying voices, and
championing research that changes lives.
“Project Lab Coat was born from my brother Ralph’s legacy, turning loss into purpose, and fashion into a voice for hope and change.” – Anthony Rosa
